Description: A subset of downloadable SOA Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing business license data that has been restricted to licenses that have been submitted where 1) PhysicalState = 'AK' 2) PhysicalCity can be matched to a DCRA Community by name. The location is represented as being the arbitrary centroid of the DCRA Community point location. Typically 12% of active business licenses drop out of set as they do not meet that criteria. This is not intended for definitive public use - please see source DCCED CBPL download file for analysis of the data https://www.commerce.alaska.gov/cbp/main. Keep in mind that businesses with multiple locations are only submitted with one physical address.
