Service Description: <div>A collection of data related to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) for the State of Alaska. The following datasets are included in this service;</div><div>1. NFIP program participation, floodplain coordinator, and FIRM date contacts by community. </div><div>2. Digital Floodplain Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRMs) for all NFIP communities in Alaska statewide. The original data was obtained from the FEMA flood map service center (https://msc.fema.gov/portal/home) and synthesized into a statewide data layer. </div><div>3. Paper FIRMs digitized by DCRA staff. These represent the first digitization of the paper FIRM products offered by FEMA. This was done for a selection of NFIP communities without digital data available from FEMA. </div><div><br /></div><div>Please refer to the original datasets on (https://msc.fema.gov/portal/home) for an explanation of FIRM attributes. </div>
